The school year is almost over, so that means that I have been in the Media class for two years, and I have some advise to give. First and foremost, look where you put the SD Card. Very important. Secondly is to always finish your project on time. The final piece of advice that I have for you is to always practice before the morning announcements.
You should look where you put the SD Card in the computer, because if you don't, there can be grave consequences. Twice this year,  people have accidentally put the SD Card inside of the disc reader. The trouble with this is that you may lose your SD Card, but you also can damage the disc reader in the computer, which is super bad because you just broke part of a super expensive computer owned by the school. You also will get yelled at a lot by Mr.M,, which is not fun at all.
You should alway sfinsh your project on time. If not, your grade and reputation can take a major hit. If your project is really late, you will keep having points deducted because it is still not turned in. You also may have a less chance of being chosen to help out with important activities, and people will also ask you for help a lot less.
The final thing that you should do is practice before the morning announcements. Many times this year have students thought that they were prepared for the morning announcements, but they made a mistake and they got in trouble because they only practiced once. You should practice as many times as you can, and should generally get in at least three practices. After three practices, everybody should know their jobs and should be great.
This is the advice that I would give anybody new to media. Look where you insert things, finish your work, and practice.

So the other day, I saw the old film Battle Star Galactica. My dad really liked this movie when he was young so he showed it to me. The movie did not have very good picture quality and the special effects were pretty junk. But then it got me to thinking how far technology has come along in the film industry. I think that the progress is just amazing. The high quality cameras back then that they used in that film are nothing compared to what we use in our class room. That is why I think that it is really cool. Just think of the types of cameras that we will have in twenty years. It might even incorporate touch int

This fourth quarter, I am doing the STN recap video as my final project. My project is a little behind. I am stressing a little bit, but I do think that I will be done on time though.  A minor problem is the quality of b-roll will be a little less than great.
My project is a little behind where I want it to be. Right now, I would've liked it to have an approved script and already be editing. I worked a little slow in the beginning, so now during the week leading up to the deadline, I have to work a little faster than I would've liked. Because the deadline iso so soon, I have already started editing. You usually do the script first, so that you don't have to change your editing when you have to change your script, but since I did already edit most of my video, I will have t change it if he wants me to change my script. This will take time, but the time it will take me to change it is less than the time it would take me to edit the whole video, so I will have less work to do on Monday.
Because I have already started editing, I do think that my project will be done on time. It will be done on time because all that I really have to do is get the script approved, and once I do that, I record voice overs, tweak the project a little bit, and I'm done, all before wednesday. This is the ideal situation, although it usually doesn't happen like this. I do think though that I am in not an impossible situation.
Another problem aside from the deadline will be the quality of the b-roll in my video. All the pictures that I will be using in my video will all be pictures taken by phones, iPads, or small digital cameras. The only problem is that the picture quality will not be as good as it would've been if it was taken with a 60D camera. If I had really thought ahead, I should've brought a camera along and taken more pictures.
Al in all, I am a little bit be where I should be. I have a plan to catch up though. Id I do get it done on time, there will still be a tiny problem, the b-roll will not be of great quality. My project will be done on time though.

The end is near! For the school year atleast. This beings an onslaught of mixed emotion. Joy, because what student doesn't want to be out of school, but sorrow, because I'll miss my classes. I will miss media because it was a very hands on class. It was over an hour a day of poring everything that you had into a project, and I will miss it. I will also miss all of my classmates, because I feel that they are more than friends, they are my CKTV Ohana. So I will be happy to leave school in about two weeks, but I'll also be sad to loose my second family.

This family night, the video that I want to share is my third quarter PSA. I want to share this video because I think that this is the best video that I have made. I think that this is the best video because it is simple, well shot, and I like it the best out of all of my videos.

It is very simple. And I really like it. Mr. M says that sometimes, the simpler a PSA is, the better it may be. This is great because I think that it was really cool that I thought if something so simple, that seemed to get the message across. I hope that I don't sound boastful at all though. The final thing that makes me proud of its simplicity is that out of all of the videos that I have made, it is the one that you don't have to think at all about it.

The second reason I really liked my PSA is that it was well shot. This is good because half of a video is the shots. If the shots are pretty good, then half of your video is pretty good. All of the shots were steady and focused. The only problem with the shots was that there was very little variety in the types.

I personally think that it was the best video that I have ever made. It is a pretty good video. I also think that I like it so much because I sorta feel a connection. It talks about all of the mathematical statistics about smoking, and that was all that I really learned about smoking, so by making a video about it, it is like I am teaching people about smoking the same way I was taught, which makes me feel good for some reason.

So this is the video that I want to share at family night. My third quarter PSA was simple, we'll shot, and my favorite video. I hope that this blog doesn't make me seem boastful, because the only purpose of it was to inform you as to why a picked my PSA.

Don't worry, there will still be inside scoops, just none that I will be doing this year. Last week was the final week that my partner and I had to do an Inside Scoop. This is bitter sweet. It is bad because I kinda liked doing them, but they were really time consuming, so I'm glad there over.

Our 2013-2014 school year is soon coming to an end. The trouble is, some of the students have started slacking off in their work. I do not think that I have been doing this, and to make sure that I don't, I will keep working as hard as I have the the rest of the year. Not only can I continue working hard, I can also work harder. The third thing that I can do is help other people.

I think that I have been doing pretty well on not taking a vacation to early. I think that I have been working as hard on my text dependent questions and turning them in on time like I have the entire year. I also don't think that my attitude has changed at all either. I also think that I am doing pretty good on my blog and project.

I think that I can do better though. I already am trying as hard as I can on the texted pendant questions. I do think that I can improve my attitude though by helping out more with snackshop. I also think that I can work a little bit harder and faster on my project. I am right now finished with filming and piecing together my script. I could be farther along though.

I can also improve my attitude by helping out more. As I said earlier, I can help with snack shop. I also can help by putting away equipment that other people leave out. The final thing that I think that I can help out with is other peoples projects. I can help them to film and work Final Cut Pro.

These are the ways that I can prevent myself from starting vacation too early. I can keep working, work harder, and help other people out. This way, I think that I will not slack off to early.

Our class has amazing support from the community. Our teacher has been thinking of trying to give back to the community. I think that it is a good idea. I was thinking that doing the Charity Walk would be really good, and so would helping out with the local food bank. I think that we would only have time to do it once a year.

I think that it is a great idea to give back to the community. It just seems like the right thing to do. They give is a lot of things, like when they support us by coming to our breakfast or providing us with money to purchase equipment. Us giving back by participating in fundraisers or helping the hungry is the least that we can do. I also think that we have the time to do it.

A few things that I would suggest that we do is participate in the annual charity walk. This is a great fundraiser because it would be easy to do and would not take a lot of time. It also would give our group a great chance to bond. We could also help the food bank because that would not take a lot of time.

We should do these activities once a year. This is because the Charity Walk is an annual event. The food bank on can be done more times, like once a quarter. That would add up to four food bank events and one charity walk. It is a little on the small side, but I think that it is a great place to start at.

All in all, I think that helping the community is a great idea. It can be done five times a year, and I think we should help with the food bank and Charity Walk. I can't wait to see what our instructor desides to do.

In a previous blog, I mentioned how there was no advisory and no

morning announcements. Well, that all ended. Last week was the last week of HSA testing, so now periods are not 100 minutes and we have advisory. We also have morning announcements due to this. This is great because I love the morning announcements. Having advisory again also gives Mr.M time to talk to us in the morning. So basically, we go back to our normal routine.

On the STN Trip, we did a ton of things. A lot of them were awesome, but some of them, not so much. Some awesome moments were when we went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure and when we stayed at the houses. The worst moments were when we were on the plane.

Going to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure was great because it was a really fun theme park. There were Harry Potter rides, along with simulation rides themed after Spider Man and Harry Potter. They really made you feel like you were flying and falling. The appearance of the park itself was incredible as well. There was not a single cubic inch of anything that did not contribute to the theme. Even the music made you feel more into the park. It was fascinating.

The second favorite thing was staying at the houses. You might think, wow, a house, amazing. It was really fun though. It had a game room in the garage that had pool and air hockey. I found out that I was not to bad at either of them. Pool was fun, although we made our own rules because the other kids in our house thought that it was too hard to play by the real rules, and our rules were a lot more fun. When we went to other houses to eat meals, we played in their game rooms with them. It was awesome. Living in the same house with a bunch of other people though also gave you a sense of family. I really liked that.

The worst times were the plane rides. They were horrendous. They were inevitable though, so I won't complain though. The airplane was really long, and really boring. On one flight,I watched movies with my best friend, so it was a little less boring, but still not great. The seats were also really uncomfortable. On the three other flights, I had to sit by strangers, and one talked way too much.

The trip over all was great. There were a lot of great moments, but a few bad ones. Other fun moments were going to wonder worx and Sizzlers. The greatest moments were staying at the house ad going to the Islands of adventure, while the bad ones were going on the plane rides
